Terms and Conditions
Please read carefully.1. Rental Period1.1 The rental period starts on the date the equipment is picked up or delivered and concludes on the agreed return date.
1.2 If you cannot pick up the equipment on the scheduled date, please inform ChordRent promptly to explore alternative arrangements.
1.3 Extensions of the rental period must be requested in advance and are subject to availability and additional charges.2. Rental Fees and Deposit2.1 A $200 deposit is required prior to renting any gear, payable via bank transfer or in cash at the time of pickup.
2.2 A higher deposit may be requested for premium gear, which will be communicated before your rental begins.
2.3 The deposit also serves as confirmation of your booking.
2.4 ChordRent reserves the right to rent equipment to other parties if the deposit is not received on time or if another client is waiting for the gear.
2.5 Gear availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the completion of the gear request form.
2.6 Rental fees and the deposit are due at the start of the rental period.
2.7 The deposit will be refunded after the equipment is returned and inspected for damage or missing items.3. Payment Methods3.1 Payments can be made via bank transfer or in cash.
3.2 Full payment is required before or at the time of equipment pickup or delivery.4. Delivery and Pickup4.1 Clients are encouraged to collect their gear from our location in Homebush.
4.2 Free delivery is available for orders over $100 within a 20-kilometer radius.
4.3 You will be notified if eligible for free delivery.
4.4 Additional charges may apply for deliveries beyond this area.5. Use of Equipment5.1 Equipment must be used solely for its intended purpose and handled with care.
5.2 The renter is responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during the rental period.
5.3 Modifications or repairs to the equipment are not allowed without prior written consent from ChordRent.
5.4 This includes changes such as string replacements, insertion of tremolo arms, and adding batteries to powered equipment.6. Return of Equipment6.1 Equipment must be returned by the agreed return date.
6.2 Late returns may incur additional charges.
6.3 Equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was rented.
6.4 Any damage or missing items will be deducted from the deposit or charged additionally.7. Liability7.1 ChordRent is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the rented equipment.
7.2 The renter assumes all risks and responsibilities associated with the use of the equipment.
7.3 The renter is liable for theft, mishandling by a third party, or any other loss.8. Damage, Loss, or Theft of Equipment8.1 The renter is responsible for the full replacement, total repair, or replacement cost of any damaged, lost, or stolen equipment within 14 days of the agreed return date.
8.2 Insurance and liability, including both equipment and public risk, shall be the responsibility of the renter.
8.3 Additionally, the renter is responsible for the correct coiling and stowage of hired cables, stands, hardware, and accessories upon return.9. Sub-Hire9.1 Sub-hiring of equipment to third parties is not permitted without prior written approval from ChordRent.10. Cancellation Policy10.1 Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup or delivery time to receive a full refund.
10.2 Cancellations made within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the daily hire charge of the canceled equipment.11. Privacy Policy11.1 ChordRent respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
11.2 We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.12. Governing Law12.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
12.2 Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.13.
