Please read these terms carefully before renting equipment from ChordRent. By proceeding with a rental, you agree to the following:
1.1 The rental period begins on the date the equipment is collected or delivered and ends on the agreed return date.
1.2 If you are unable to collect the equipment on the scheduled date, you must notify ChordRent promptly to arrange an alternative.
1.3 Extensions must be requested in advance, are subject to availability, and may incur additional charges.
2.1 A standard $200 deposit is required prior to renting, payable via bank transfer or cash at pickup.
2.2 Higher deposits may be requested for premium or high-value gear; this will be communicated in advance.
2.3 The deposit also serves as confirmation of your booking.
2.4 If the deposit is not received on time, ChordRent reserves the right to release the equipment to another client.
2.5 Equipment is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once the gear request form and deposit are completed.
2.6 Rental fees and the deposit are due before or at the start of the rental period.
2.7 Deposits are refunded after the equipment has been returned and inspected for damage or missing items.
3.1 Payments may be made via bank transfer or cash.
3.2 Full payment must be received before or at the time of pickup/delivery.
4.1 Equipment can be collected from our North Strathfield location.
4.2 Free delivery is available for orders over $100 within a 20km radius (subject to availability).
4.3 You will be advised if your order qualifies for free delivery.
4.4 Deliveries outside this area may incur additional charges.
5.1 Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and handled with care.
5.2 The renter is responsible for any loss or damage that occurs during the rental period.
5.3 Repairs or modifications are not permitted without prior written consent from ChordRent.
5.4 This includes changes such as string replacement, insertion of tremolo arms, or adding batteries to powered gear.
6.1 Equipment must be returned on the agreed date.
6.2 Late returns may attract additional charges.
6.3 Equipment must be returned in the same condition as received.
6.4 The cost of any damage or missing items will be deducted from the deposit or charged separately.
7.1 ChordRent is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use of rented equipment.
7.2 The renter assumes all risks associated with the use of the equipment.
7.3 The renter is liable for theft, loss, or damage caused by third parties during the rental period.
8.1 The renter is responsible for the full cost of replacement or repair of any damaged, lost, or stolen equipment.
8.2 All replacement or repair costs must be settled within 14 days of the agreed return date.
8.3 Insurance, including public liability cover, remains the responsibility of the renter.
8.4 All cables, stands, and accessories must be returned correctly coiled, stowed, and in working order.
9.1 Sub-hiring or lending equipment to third parties is not permitted without prior written approval from ChordRent.
10.1 Cancellations made more than 24 hours before pickup/delivery are eligible for a full refund.
10.2 Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time may incur a cancellation fee equal to one day’s hire of the booked equipment.
11.1 ChordRent values your privacy and will only use your personal information for booking and operational purposes.
11.2 Information will not be shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
12.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
12.2 Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
